Radiator FM

At approximately 4 this morning, I was rudely awakened by what appeared to be the sound of a cabbie controller issuing pickup and dropoff instructions to his fleet of cab drivers. Since I live nowhere near a taxi office, this is quite a rare occurence in my bedroom. I also do not have a TV or radio or other device capable of picking up radio interference anywhere near my room.

Dismissing the situation as one contrived by an over-fervent nocturnal imagination, I scratched my head and tried to get back to sleep, only to be disturbed several more times by the same man - speaking as if from thin air. This spooked me a bit and I turned all the lights on, checked under my bed and in my wardrobe, and sat trembling in the centre of my bed, expecting some sort of ghost to appear before me. The disembodied voice continued to issue orders to his drivers several times before dawn forced me to come to work. I know I didn't imagine it, because my housemate said he also heard the sound of a man's voice in the middle of the night.

Suspicious!

Behold.

I've since looked it up on the interweb, and discovered - as I suspected - that if strong enough, rogue radio signals from CB enthusiasts, pirate radio stations, and MINICAB OFFICES can be picked up by metal objects such as radiator pipes, and oddly enough, fillings.

Therefore, I have now acquired a new and free form of entertainment. Now, where is the on/off switch?

LMAO!!!

It's just like you to think it was a ghost. I'd be well freaked out if there were radio messages from World War II. What exactly was the evil radiator telling you to do?

This is too damn funny.

Xxx DM.

Well, DM, if that is your REAL NAME... the radiator was informing "Bill" that he should go make a pickup at Muswell Hill. Also, the controller's name was Steve. I was very freaked out, I can assure you. x
